7 Fun and Inexpensive Things to do Before School Starts:

Monday 8/6 – Take a dip in your apartment community’s pool or go to a public splash pad—ALL of which are FREE and can be found all over the city of Fort Wayne. It’s going to be a hot one!
Tuesday 8/7 – Go on a bicycle ride on the local Rivergreenway Trail that runs 25 miles long and connects to 15 city parks. Many of our apartment communities are located very close to this attraction and can take you all over the city!
Wednesday 8/8 – Is going to the grocery store something you hate and dread doing? Check out the Salomon Farmers Market at The Old Barn at Salomon Farm Park (817 West DuPont Rd) from 4-7 PM. Taking home fresh fruits, vegetables, and other products while supporting local businesses and families can really put a smile on your face!
Thursday 8/9 – Instead of binge watching Netflix or Hulu inside, take the family to Foellinger Theatre to watch Finding Dory outdoors—part of a FREE summer movie series starting at 8 PM. Fresh air and entertainment cannot be beat!
Friday 8/10 – Jam out at Friday Nites Live at Jefferson Pointe from 6:30-8:30 PM—a FREE concert featuring various local bands. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets so you can kick back and enjoy the show!
Saturday 8/11 – Reach for the stars with the Fort Wayne Astronomical Society at their FREE public stargazing event, starting one hour after sunset and continuing for two hours at Jefferson Township Park (located at Star*Quest Observatory, 1720 S. Webster Road, New Haven, IN 46774).
Sunday 8/12 – Take me out to the ball game! The Fort Wayne TinCaps play West Michigan at 1:05 PM with tickets starting at $5. Sundays feature FREE on-field postgame autographs along with postgame kids run the bases!
