Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn
Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn
Peggy Meyer, AAFW-NEI Executive Director
This has always been my favorite time of the year. It might be since it’s close to my birthday, or maybe it’s because of the change from the unbearable hot weather to the more brisk days where I will toss on my favorite sweatshirt after work. This season brings back a lot of my childhood memories – I can remember being whisked away by my mom to ride in the grain truck to haul the grain that my dad was harvesting. Being a part of the family farm has provided me with such a different perspective - you cannot have a good harvest, if you don’t first plant the seed. We all have natural talents, but without work and cultivating on our given abilities, we will not seek our highest potential.
The AAFW-NEI is ready to help you cultivate not only your talents, but also your network this fall. Even though Hope and I have worked extremely hard to keep in contact with all of the members, there is something about being in the same room with people that can’t be achieved over platforms like Zoom. There are so many opportunities this fall for EVERYONE! Here’s a timeline of what we have planned:
August 10th – Breakfast Connection – Join us at our new location, Ceruti’s, for a fun networking meeting! We will have lots of time scheduled for everyone to chat and get reconnected.
